Post Pilot, the integration will move from our development support team to our ongoing support and location onboarding teams. These teams will then support any future updates to the API which will be communicated to your team through the API Updates email distro. These teams will also be responsible for integration bug/issue triage and ongoing location onboarding.
SMB Locations: Integrated location onboarding will also be managed in collaboration with the Success teams. Location onboarding is managed on a weekly basis to ensure operational efficiencies and scalability. Both parties will manage location launches via the shared location launch tracker (see example tracker).
SMB Launch Process:
Your team will create a new tab on the shared tracker and add locations by the agreed upon date for the current launch week.
The Grubhub onboarding team will review locations’ eligibility for integration and configure those eligible locations appropriately. Location eligibility will be marked appropriately on the shared tracker. For locations that are not eligible, Grubhub will provide actionable steps to your team to ensure that those locations become eligible for the next subsequent launch. See additional documentation here.
Once locations have been configured and the POS configuration webhook has been received from Grubhub, your team will push menus to locations that have been configured. See additional documentation here.
Once menus have been successfully pushed, your team will “turn on” integration via the appropriate endpoint. If Rapid Onboarding is not built, Grubhub will own the ‘Integration Live’ step.
If Merchant_Status is not “Premium” for a given merchant_id, the location will not be live on the Grubhub Marketplace. Your team must also update that status appropriately to allow for order acceptance to begin.
Enterprise Merchant Brands and Locations: These merchants will need to follow the existing Grubhub Enterprise location onboarding processes to get their locations tested and integrated. Enterprise merchants should reach out to their Grubhub Enterprise Partner Managers (EPM) to start that process.
Additional Enterprise Brand Location Launches:
Enterprise brands are eligible for the cadenced launch described for SMBs if locations have already been integrated on your integration path.
Location Eligibility:
Currently, Grubhub APIs do not support the following features. If one or more of these settings are enabled, the restaurant should reach out to the Account Advisor for more information on how to resolve blockers. See below for more details on how to contact an Account Advisor.
-
Already Integrated: Location is already added to your partner leaf and ordering has been turned on.
- Integration Conflict: There is an existing integration with another provider for this customer (GH only supports one integration per location). The partner should provide written confirmation from the restaurant approving the switch to GH.
-
Catering Live: Catering is not available for integrated restaurants. A customer can choose to do either of the following, and reach out to their account advisor to manage this.
- Set up a second Grubhub account and manage catering orders by tablet.
- Remove catering.
-
Team Ordering Live: Team ordering is not available for integrated restaurants. A customer can choose to do either of the following, and reach out to their account advisor to manage this.
- Set up a second Grubhub account and fulfill team ordering orders by tablet.
- Remove Team ordering.
- GH Direct: GH Direct is an offering that allows restaurants to set up a customizable, restaurant-branded website for ordering. These orders do not carry marketplace commissions. This product is not available for integrated restaurants.
- Alcohol: Alcohol is not allowed for integrated restaurants. POS and Middleware integration partners are expected to remove alcohol for any restaurants they are adding menus for.
